Rhodes is the biggest island in Dodecanese and 4th in size in Greece. It is located in the southeast part of Aegean Sea, 11m from the shores of Minor Asia.

It is of oblong shape. It has a ground of 1398sq. km, a length of 79,9km and a width of 38km. The length of its shores is more than 220km. Rhodes’ ground is very fertile. In many regions are cultivated vineyards from which is produced the fine wine of Rhodes. It also produces olive oil, dry goods and citrus fruits, while the hilly regions are famous for their poultry farming products.
The geographic position of Rhodes was the cause of battle between miscellaneous civilizations from East and West. Today Rhodes is the capital of Dodecanese nomarchy. Due to its natural beauty and monuments, has now evolved to a tourist resort with international fame.

It is worth mentioning that Rhodes is one of the islands with the best tourist infrastructure. It is not accidental that from the 90.000 residents of the island, almost 90% of them work with tourism. Luxurious hotels, restaurants of all categories, impressive shopping malls satisfy even the most demanding visitors.

The island is famous for its vivid nightlife, where casino has the leading role, and the famous clubs and bars all around the island.
